According to data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), China's automobile production and sales reached 34.531 million and 34.4 million vehicles respectively in 2025, setting a new record high and maintaining the top position globally for 17 consecutive years. Among them, the production and sales of new energy vehicles exceeded 16 million units, accounting for more than 50% of domestic new car sales, officially becoming the dominant force in the market; automobile exports exceeded 7 million units, of which new energy vehicle exports amounted to 2.615 million units.
